GF and I are off to Egypt in September, been twice before and on both occasions we had a great time. This time we're all inclusive for £450 for 10 nights, think it's 4* (she booked it!)

Will be pleasantly warm - we went in July a few summers ago and it hit 50c which was far too hot! and you can pop off to see the Pyramids and the like if you fancy.

Egypt in September is lovely, especailly along the red sea. I would say don't stay in cairo, go to the coast then pay for the trip out. I'm looking at going out again at the moment and its about £400 for AI, if you do go check the resorts for food poisoning first though.

And take snorkling stuff.

The guidelines for us are:
- we would like to go for 7-10 days some time in September
- we want it to be a beach type holiday, so temperatures in the range of 25-40
- we normally like to do quite a lot of exploring/sightseeing wherever we go, but this time the focus is on REST & RELAX though we wouldn't say no to some sightseeing
- we would prefer an all-inclusive package
- the budget would be between £350-450 / person (the less the better :))
- at the moment we are considering Turkey, Tunisia, Morocco and the Canary Islands
- not really interested in the Greek Islands

Any suggestions/bits of knowledge on the subject will be highly appreciated!

Sounds like Kate and you need to be on the sunny island of Malta in the last week of September - it just so happens I'll be there on the bike at that time and can show you a couple of great restaurants and bars.

Never been to Turkey, but I received this through which is meant to be quite a good price for the hotel etc.

£299 per person based on 2 sharing for 7 nights all inclusive departing 21th September - 20th October 2010.

The reviews on Trip Advisor seem decent enough considering the price.

Egypt is definitely on the wish list but so far all the prices we saw were over £400/person for 7 nights - will need to look better :)

Sharm is nice - went there the last two years but going to Hurgarda this time.

GF booked it all seperately, she spent ages searching for everything!

Maybe try Sinai too? Went there maybe 8/9 years ago, armed convoy from the airport through the mountains to a resort that had 3 hotels, the sea and nothing else. It's a bit more developed now!!

Thanks for all the suggestions folks!

As for booking holidays, what websites/agents do you use that offer best value? I booked my last holiday through www.onthebeach.co.uk who were OK but not brilliant.. This time I stumbled upon www.ibookholidays.com who seem to be able to come up with the best deals - anyone else used them?
