cheers bud

100 songs. Yikes. How many photos and shizzle are you having done??

You'll need to convert them to mp3 first in order to fit them onto on cd as you won't get 100 audio tracks on one cd. I think you might even struggle to get 100 songs on one disc in mp3 format also

got the reception dinner an stuff to go through, recon thats a good few hours based on previous weddings attended.

Good point about the CD size, it may be that ill have to import it onto the ipod as a single track and play that instead of the CD.

I use Audacity for ripping from vinyl to digital, it's free and more or less sorted (not sure if the Beta is fully right).

I have used it to merge mp3 tracks into one, my Zumo is limited to 1000 tracks so merging extends the capacity as big as the card allows.

It's not the friendliest software in the world, but it is pretty capable in terms of what you can do with editing. Certainly cutting off and merging with the next track is do-able, you get the track shown visually so you can match beats etc very easily, normalise the volumes, fade in/out if you want.

It workss in its own format (.aup) but then you "export" or "export multiple" in whatever format you want, mp3, wav etc.

Choose the mp3 sample rate you want, for satnav I use 128k which gives nominally 1min of music per Mb, so a 700Mb CD could hold 700mins of music. 128k is not brilliant quality music in Hi-Fi terms but might well be good enough for what you want.

Mediamonkey gets good reviews, and may well be better suited to what you want, but I've never used it.

I was wondering if any of you loverly org lot know how to blend say 10songs into 1 track on a CD so that we're not having long pauses between songs after the ceremony while all the pics and boring shizzle takes place.

Cheers for any help in advance.

I have a piece of software that does that(MixMeister). Send me the track list and i'll knock it up. Any tracks i dont have (Which maybe unlikely) i'll sort out for you. I can save it as a single MP3 dump it on a DVD and mail it to you.

I'll PM you my Email address. If you can do it in a text file with comma between track and artist it would help, i can then convert it to a play list and import it.

Thats the fella. I mean if you can do it in Excel and save it as a csv file, oh and i have that Kylie hit!

Colin, Audacity is a good bit of software, but the free version only saves in 128Kbps and i like 160 as an absolute minimum.
