depends, with gsxr, zx's etc they allow slip ons do be changed
but check the warranty as with the sv its a modification and not a straight swap

Well.......my SV has a fair few bits and bobs that have been changed.......my dealer has never said anything regarding the warranty, I did on my first SV and my GSXR and both of them had work done under warranty with no quibbles!

Will I need to inform my insurance company if I use a slip-on?

I have a Scorpion Street Extreme stubby in carbon fibre with stainless tip. I love it, although my girlfriend hated it! Said it hurts her head and makes her feel embarrassed that it's so loud. It did come with a baffle, which I haven't put in yet. I wonder if it will make much difference...

I'm with Equity Red Star. It only cost me £10 admin fee to resend the documents, but they said in the case of an accident, they will only replace with OEM parts. The R&G crash bungs didn't alter it either and they said again they wouldn't be replaced in an accident. I'll probably move insurance companies next year. I heard e-bike is good.

Sure thing, dude. I have it without the baffle in. It definitely rumbles with a little bit of popping on overrun. Drop me a PM if you like and we can meet up.
