there used to be a web****e that gave you all the factory passwords (like the bios). used to have the link but lost it many moons ago.

MHDD wont give you the password but it will let you wipe the old one, only trouble is that it also does a low level format at the same time. as far as i'm aware there is no way you can unlock a drive and keep the data (well not us mere mortals anyway).

yeah going ill have another go tonight, I'm not fussed about the data just want to use the drive.
