Re: What diameter tubing do I need for bleeding brakes?
the pipeing from a oxygen mask works a treat, i aquired some on one of my hospital stays, the nipple at either end fits pefectly over the nipple and is long enough to run back up to the resivior so no wastage

lol.
What I'll do then is crash becuase my brakes arent up to scratch, and when in hospital I'll theif some of the tubing for when I get out :D |
Re: What diameter tubing do I need for bleeding brakes?
just walk up and ask they have to dispose of every mask after they are used once and if its just the tubing and you tell them what you intend to use it for they more than likely will just give you it (they did me with a giggle) your local nurse in your docs office etc etc

You can see that by looking at what's coming out of the nipple as air will sputter.
However with the tubing method you will also suck air in around the threads. |

Meh.
Just had a butchers at my pads and they all need changing soon-ish, wondering if I should just wait til they need doing and doing the overhaul then - just bleed for now. |

Re: What diameter tubing do I need for bleeding brakes?
Well, bought some cheapo one man bleed kit from Halfrauds, and job done. Wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, after reading so much about trapped bubbles etc. Bled mine through no probs, brakes feel a bit better than before (may be placebo though?)
Now my brake fluid is a yellow colour and not brown :D |
Re: What diameter tubing do I need for bleeding brakes?
if its brow, new fluid will be much better :D full stop

Well I havent been able to test it properly yet past walking pace as it started to hammer it down shortly after I finished, but tomorrow hopefully.
