Re: Frozen Throttle & Front Brake.
well washing it then tucking it up for a couple of weeks wont really help it sounds like it could do with a few bits stripping an greasing to ensure that water cant really get in an cause issues, a bit of basic tlc really as the brakes are a major issue if the freeze

Re: Frozen Throttle & Front Brake.
u got and air line/compressor and gun ? or compressed air in a can ?
wash it down and blow then water out of all the small bits and then put it away or it will freeze up again |
Re: Frozen Throttle & Front Brake.

I am usually cleaning the salt off my bike this time of year but I've taken the scruff! YCs advice this year and I'm half the way through a can of ACF50 with no rust so far but a dog ruff looking bike coated in a layer of crud and ACF50. Ew i hate being this dirty but it seems to be working and so it should at £13 a can. |
Re: Frozen Throttle & Front Brake.
Got it home (a bit hairy) and it is now well covered awaiting a service in January, where I will re-grease everything.
Thanks all for the help... |

Re: Frozen Throttle & Front Brake.
YOU NO WISTEN-----------ACF50
to be honest you are wasting your time with WD40 unless you are going to do it on a very regular basis |
Re: Frozen Throttle & Front Brake.
Just a precaution for the next couple of weeks when I am off work and not using it...ACF50 next year perhaps.
