A lot of shops are planning to increase prices more than just the VAT rise in a hope it'll go under the radar....or so the BBC say.

Thing is people think the change is going to be big, and it won't be unless you buy a car or a bike etc. (That included me until now)

See if you're ordering 10s / 100s of thousands of kit then yeah there's big savings to be made (we've had the best december in ages at work but will be hit next year). But a lot of people won't even notice!

Oh and speak for yourself, £2 a pint still at my local! :D

Yep! No VAT on helmets except I did hear a rumor that Arai are puting there 2011 Range up in price so you will be putting you hand slightly deeper in your pocket for a Arai...

The helmet manufacturers still have to pay VAT on alot of their inputs but, because they pay no VAT on their output, they can't recover the extra so they still have to put their prices up somewhat to maintain profit. Should still be buttons on the price of a lid though.
