This is true myself and a good friend both have synology NAS drives i have ps3 and he has xbox, the ps3 streams from that (and straight from pc/laptop) much better, it is quicker, more responsive, and has less issues in general with it

One of the biggest factors will be which controller you prefer, you'll just have to try both to know which.

I've always had Play Station consoles and am very used to them.

If you don't play online (apart from missing out on a MASSIVE part of modern day gaming) your probably better off with the PS3.

A lot of modern games are mainly built around online play. All FPS (Call of Duty etc) have a 6 hour actual storyline game... then the rest is online, which you can quite easily spend 30 gameplay day playing if your geeky enough.

Forza Motorsport 3 is better than GT5 anyway by the way... so maybe xbox still.

I was sure it was for sale for both consoles when looking at those games. I was checking out the price differences between the two and could have sworn GT5 was on sale for both. Obviously wrong. The games were the same price (exactly) for either console.

yeah GT5 defo PS3 only, there was a bit of an up raw about it, but as it has always been Playstation exclusive they have honored that again.

Xbox has:
-better online multiplayer, but you have to pay for it
-more downloadable arcade games
-a better controller
-nice extras like Last.fm, ****ter, Arsebook
-video chat
-cheaper games
-some exclusive addons (which sometimes doesn't make it to PS3 later)
-small hard drives that you have to buy from MS if you want to upgrade
-backwards compatible with most Xbox games
-Halo, Gears of War, Forza

PS3 has:
-free online multiplayer
-a web browser which will let you do more than just Arsebook, ****ter, etc.
-easily upgradable hard drives (they're standard PC ones)
-built in Blu-ray player
-rotten controllers, improved slightly with clip-on trigger levers.
-arguably more reliable hardware (more RRODs on 360 than YLODs on PS3)
-Metal Gear Solid, Uncharted, Gran Turismo

There isn't really much between them any more, it's down entirely to what games you like and what else you like to do with it. If you want to play online, for example, you might balk at paying for Xbox Live but it's the cost of one new game for an entire year, and if all your friends are on Live you might as well go for it.

PC... best at everything, cheaper games better online community, DLC for free for almost all games, Community content free. Can be used for MANY other things as well.

Out of the other two though 360, it has slightly more graphical power (even if the PS3 has slightly more CPU power) cheaper to buy meaning more money for gaming, more games.

true only in part, i have always been a PC gmaer, and only in the last year so so have i nto used it much for games (since getting the ps3)

the down side to pc gaming is most people dont understand pc's (no offence ment to anyone, but most people will buy/build or have build a high end pc to allow them to play games, use it as a computer it will be filled with spyware, hundred's of programs will install themselves into the startup and as jo public on the whole dont know what spyware is, and have never hurd of 'msconfig' after a year or so the pc will start lagging like no tomorrow they will get annoyed and not use it because they think they need get a new one, so they spend money up upgrades, or new systems.....start thet process again, therefore becomes more expensive.

PS3 for me.

Bill Gates has had enough of my money over the years, not going to start that game again - Ubuntu gaming community is not my scene.
