That's the camping kit for a week. It won't handle too well on stock suspension like that, but it will do it :) One more just for OP, being southern fairy maybe you need this explaining to you http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._1231179_n.jpg You'll get the hang of it :) |
Re: sv touring two up?
if we do hostels then we can drop the sleeping bags and just have a pannier each for clothes. i think this is deffinatley do able. we decided we would do a recce to bournmouthe to see how we cope. we are also going to get a scala g4 set! anybody wanna join?

Re: sv touring two up?
Just to mention you don't need to be a YHA member to stay there, but I think it costs you £3 pppn extra. A years membership is £15 I think.
Also hostels in Scotland are similar to YHAs but ran by a different body. I'm sure they work in a similar manner and recognise each other. Not sure what the sleeping arrangement is in Scotland, but in the UK you use bedding they provide. |
Re: sv touring two up?
you'll love it, have a fantastic time! just make sure you've got a good communication system set up between the two of you (unless of course you can afford fancy autocoms...) so you know if the other is ok i.e. needs to pull over at next services for a whizz or pillion has lost a glove etc ;-)
And don't rush things, touring is something both of you should really enjoy, make the most of it! I only wish we could afford to do it more often but unfortunately the way fuel prices are going... |
Re: sv touring two up?
thank you myc. Have you checked out yha hostels. they look fantastic and very cheap. that may offset the price of fuel!!!! you only live once!
