Re: Fuel Price Petition
750,000 people rallied up by the 'stop the war coalition' in 2003 didn't make a difference, and prob wouldn't have if it was 3 times that.
A load of signatures on a piece of paper aint gonna do squat. Imagine if the Egyptians signed a petition against Hosny Mubarak. That would have done a lot! Governments will do and act as they please, and petitions are less of a headache than rallies. Credit for trying though at least.but it really comes down to this Quote:

Don't email it... Fax it. It gets their attention when they are burning through reams of paper.

Re: Fuel Price Petition
Its all a clever plan.
Just means that when Civil Unrest breaks out, we will think twice about putting it in milk bottles and throwing them at Paliament... |

Isn't diesel not flammable?

Re: Fuel Price Petition
Red diesel/ diesel in general is a nightmare to ignite, even if you hold a naked flame to it, like a lighter, it won't ignite easily... never tried heating oil though lol

Re: Fuel Price Petition
The only thing that signing this petition gives you, is the government agreeing to not hike the cost up any.... further for now!
The petition is asking them not to raise it further, not reduce it, so none of us actually benefit from such a cause. 'please mr government man, don't raise the petrol anymore' 'ahhh ok then' #government man, waddles off rubbing his hands, duping the country for another year# |
