Sad day indeed. A new guy has been doing the Daleks for the last few years - they're being rested because they are "the most reliably defeatable enemy" and, popular as they are, Steven Moffat is enjoying thinking up new monsters like the Weeping Angels and The Silence.

This should probably be drifting over to a different thread by now...
