Just goes to show how good the original SV is that nobody wants to radically change it, a case of evolution rather than revolution.

I like mine the way it is. :riding:Upgrade of suspension, that was made specifically to replace the crappy OEM parts, they suit me personally, and it doesn't completely balls up a marvellous standard bike.....ie bodge shop butchery IMO.

Although if folk want to do that its their affair, but I prefer the original and best, as thats how it was meant to be. If an SV was meant to have Gizzer front end on it.....it would have it:smt102.

However....billet custom top yoke is rather nice, does absolutely **** for the bike in any way shape or form,........but it attracts magpies...I mean people, interested in where it came from

I've often said that if my SV had the front end out of my old SRAD in it, it'd be perfect, it's obvious that Suzuki build them to price for a specific market, and it's also pretty obvious what people want and are prepared to get up off their backsides and do it themselves, which is rather sweet that people obviously rate the bike so much that they will modify it and not buy a GSXR straight away. :D

The SV is best left as it is.....besides the Cagiva Raptor 650 is an SV650(yes thats right, they use an SV650 engine) Italian Sportster, if you want a sportster SV, buy one of those!

Raptor 650 is not sporty, it is monster ripoff and competitor. Though it's better than the equivalent monster it's no ducati killer, it's still low and soft. Look at fischer 650 for "sporty" or similar.

Regarding GSXR front ends, you're wanting to make a bike better. The mod is popular because it does just that. For people who want to make the bike work as it should have in first place and not some chav c*** wanting to make it look inder vid jewell innit. Who cares if it isn't original.

Not sure what I'd do to the SV, except bring back the good looking curvy frame and scrap the orrible pointy and gladys pricepoint sh*te!

As I have pointed out many times, the reason why it looks better than a monster is because it was designed by the same person...Miguel Angel Galluzzi. I said sportster, as its marketed as such. So not so much a Monster ripoff, more of a refinement:D
As for an SV working as it should have.......works perfectly well for me ta...

However...... +1 to keeping the superior frame:smt038
