I would have stopped if he had broken down in Lancaster :)

I would have stopped, and then started the clock running. I only charge £50 an hour at the roadside because I don't have overheads out there, and I waive the call-out fee if I stop when passing - I'm a bloody bargain, I can tell you :-)

Went for Option 2 (because secret option 6 "not at Harleys" didn't seem to work!)

I make a point of nodding at learners because I remember how disheartening it was on my 125 never getting a nod from anyone. I figure we should all encourage new bikers wherever we can.

Nodded at a police bike the other day and got no response whatsoever. So I have to ask all you law enforcement types out there - are you not allowed to nod when in uniform or was he just being a miserable barsteward?

You must have nodded at a miserable one. I've had quite a few return my nods.

I'd click the "He hates curvies too" option if there was one :-)

It could be because most of the bikers with L plates ride like tools, usually with only a helmet on.

Punched in the face? You're being too kind.

It looks like a blind child tried to draw a face on the front of it with a crayon. It's so ugly that even when I stand next to it I'm the one who looks good.
