Hardly Bermuda though is it ;)

My bike insurance was £135 TPF&T, they wanted an extra £150 for fully comp. Last year it was 280 odd for TPF&T.

Car insurance? Don't ask :smt119

My premium was £300 last year with £150 excess FC. My renewal came through today premium £450 with £400 Excess! To add insult to injury they stated that they would be taking the first installment over two weeks BEFORE the current premium runs out?!
One go on Tesco Compare got it down to £244 with £350 excess. Much better but still not best pleased with the hike in excesses.

I live in London, and mine went down £17 to £193, that's for TPFT with legal assist, breakdown and up to 30 days european cover, unlimited mileage, pillion and ride any other bike for all my 9 bikes (top bike is the Superduke with declared power upgrade), the alternate quote dropped it by £46 but this did increase my excess to £100 (currently £50 for theft only) so I didn't take that one.

Cheers Mark.

Bike insurance stayed the same despite adding a (non fault) claim, car insurance went down by £130, to what it was 2 years ago.

Mine went up, even after selling one of the three I'd had on the previous yrs policy. Got it to 50 quid less than the renewal, but that was after a lot of haggling.
The VRap is a bit on the expensive side to insure, prob because of its rarity and equally rare(and expensive) parts to replace.....but that doesn't really convince me when it comes to the difference between two or three bikes on a policy, or the hike in premiums.

Renewed with 'Wicked Quotes'
Went up 70 quid, from £430 to £500!
Couldn't get them down any further!
No other company could get close!

Thats 20, 4 years no claims, FC, Aberdeen postcode, parked on the street, 1 year old SV650S, 15K miles a year.

I tried to resist indulging in a slight gloat - but didnt quite manage it. :)

£90 Fully comp and I have only been riding 2 years!

TIP: Try reducing the declared number of miles per year you do. This can have a dramatic effect on the premium. (obviously not by lying to the insurance company, that would be really wrong! ;))
