Thanks Phil, I recieved the 33bhp unit first thing this morning, just need to get the old throttle stop off and get it fitted.

I now have two 33bhp kits and two certs lol ... wonder what would have if I fitted both ;-)

No probs Steph, hope all goes well with removal of the throttle stop and fitting of the ECU.

If you fitted both, would you have a 66bhp kit, or a 15.15bhp one?!?!

Hi Phil,

Yes managed to "hacksaw" the throttle stop off, had to remove the carbs, the screw was in with loctite and the head was stripped, all fixed now.

Ran the bike on full power for a few miles to make sure all was ok, then fitted your old 33 unit. There is a real difference in the ecu 33 and the F1 washer and throttle restrictor. The ecu 33 feels full power to around 7000, 8000 revs then kicks in slowly. I now have no issues with that "feeling" of the air fuel mix not correct either, so very pleased with it.

I would advise anyone and everyone who has a SV to fit the ECU 33bhp unit rather than the rather "old" F1 washer kit, if they have fuel injection.

Restricting a fuel injection engine with a throttle stop and washers does work, but I cant see this doing the engine all that good, also it does not give the bike the full potential and running costs etc etc of the ECU...

Thanks again Phil, hopefully in 18 months I can re-sell the unit and someone else can make use of it during the 2 year restriction. :)

Glad your please with it and glad I could help.

Most people seem to sell them on again when they are done with them and they seem to fetch more or less the same price. This means that in 2 years you could flog it on for the same amount and only end up loosing your original postage which I think is a bargain. Tis exactly what I did! :D

I'm also looking for a 33bhp single pin ECU. I really wish someone else had one they wanted to sell! :'(

They crop up quite often on here you just have to keep yer eyes peeled, they also appear on eBay quite often, though prices can vary dramaticly!
