Re: SV650s Mpg ride
Yes I could well believe it.
What I'd like is a sort of flow meter like you see on boats giving you real time mpg and litres used. Flowmeters are expensive to buy but I have a design in my head for one. |
Re: SV650s Mpg ride
haha i could get my hands on a flow meter might be fun to try

Re: SV650s Mpg ride
Geese that's my kinda site. I'm fairly anal about MPG so a site i can record all this is just the ticket.
I reckon i'm getting about 50mpg at the moment, riding mainly in town and only approx 20miles at a time on open roads at the weekends. I did a similar excercise to bibio in my car (Peugeot 206 2.0l HDI) and found i could extend my tank range by about 70 miles by changing up earlier and being nicer to my accelerator. |
Re: SV650s Mpg ride
Yep that site is great. If you register make sure you add me and we can compare.
If you're anal about it. For the cars anyway I have an OBD scan tool from ebay and "torque" app on my phone. I 've got it set up for instant Mpg which is great. I could see the sweetspot of my car was under 100km/h |
Re: SV650s Mpg ride
56 mph is supost to be the sweet spot for most modern cars
|
Re: SV650s Mpg ride
On a trackday I get about 60 miles to a tank =D>

Re: SV650s Mpg ride
hmmmm 60 miles to a tank about 20 to the gallon then :/ on race fuel?
|
Re: SV650s Mpg ride
To be honest if i'm good i can get 65 mpg.
But its so boar-ring. generally get 55mpg ridding it to work n back .But going the twisty route is so much more fun. But its all down to smoothness This is what i got out the Dig-T driving like i had an egg under my foot ! http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...13964759_n.jpg |
