Cam swap, BMC airbox and jets to suit added 10bhp to rear wheel on mine.

Yes you can tell the difference :)

I have another question and didnt want to start a whole new thread, If i were to buy a pointy engine, wiring loom and oil radiator and part it out how much would i be looking at making? Obviously minus the intake cams as thats the whole idea. Does anyone on here need any of these parts? This is looking more affordable as the price for this lump is less than buying two camshafts from suzuki.

Also if you buy an engine do you need to get any documents from it?

I don't think it would be worth all the trouble of changing the engine. I don't think your exhaust header pipes would pass the oil cooler. I believe people who fit pointy engines in a curvey don't fit the oil radiator. Anyway, it's not just the inlet cams that are involved - you actually move your original inlet cams to the exhaust side to get the full effect. The effect is not just more power but a willingness to rev a little higher, so if you want you can hold a gear a little longer - I like this effect most when I have done the occasional track day.

I have broke a curvy engine, £40 clutch, £40 Gear box, clutch cover £20, stator cover £20, the rest is still sitting in my garage apart from the cases which I chucked because they were in the way

Thankyou. I was hoping for better but i can be happy with that. As my mate pointed out to me this afternoon, the flaw in my plan. SV engines dont break down much.

Don't know that company, was just wondering.

As for what to look for rust, scoring on the polished surfaces, bluing from heat. Anything that doesn't look like it came from the factory. As for price, the cheaper the better, can't remember what I paid for mine but search on here for previous asking prices in the for sale section.

By the way, i went to look for camshafts at that place today and the bike breaker is NO LONGER IN BUSINESS.

So nobody waste a trip.
