The funny thing is - rumours like this can cripple a business.

Lack of consumer confidence is something we're all hearing a lot of recently as an impediment to economic recovery and if this is not true, it may well cause administration due to people taking business elsewhere.

Yup. All this talk of GAME having troubles made me tear the house apart for the gift card I got at Xmas, so I can go and spend it on anything before they go bust and the credit is worthless.

I suppose it depends on what you're buying. Someone who just needed gloves or a lid or something would still go to an HG shop up until the day they closed, ordering stuff would be different.

No I wouldn't I like somewhere to take goods back to if they fail. These rumours can be very harmful, if untrue.

If this is true, then I take it is as a reult of online competition, and the people that try in a shop and then buy online, well you know what, soon you will run out of places to do that, what you going to do then?
