Re: How to use a paddock stand!

Just looked at the sellers other items & they have the cups for £8 & front paddock stand with the same pic for £30. Bit cheeky methinks

Did I forget to say that this is exactly what happened to me? ;) It meant that I couldn't remove the rear wheel myself without the swingarm attachment so said from experience. Cost of replacing bobbin - £10; Cost of re-threading including petrol - £25; Cost of experience (knowing what not to do next time) - Priceless!

Id expect to get what was shown in the picture unless the ad clearly stated otherwise. It just says "includes" hooks, but doesnt say that other parts of the picture are ommitted.Thats more than cheeky,Id say it was ilegal.

is this false advertising because it implies that the fittings come with the stand with them being in the picture.

Have a look at the terms and conditions on your order page, it says that you need to contact them if you have a complaint and they will endeavor to sort it out. Time for a phone call I fear. :smt102

I e-mailed them yesterday, received a reply from them today.

"We've sold 100's of these through our website (using the same picture) without any issues and the heading/title does state including hooks, but as a gesture of goodwill I've booked out one of out 'all in one' stands for you (that's the item that's pictured) free of charge."

Can't fault their customer service.

Bite the bullet and get swing arm bobbings as its a lot more easy to hook it in and safer .

Another vote for swingarm bobbins.

If you're getting fittings for both front and rear, don't use the front on it's own. You need the rear on a stand before you lift the front - otherwise it's unstable and could tip over.

Ebays all about the good reviews, theres doubtless been hundreds sold & lots of people not complained so ended up buying the cups extra. It's more normal to have round pegs too rather than the square ones on that stand so you'd have to buy them off them.

Even their email is open to misunderstanding - are they sending you a whole new stand or just the cups?

I noticed that they don't actually sell an 'all in one' stand that they mention. I still think they're being cheeky but goes to show it's worth complaining!

Good man! The customer is always right (sometimes).

That's curious cause I always put the front on first because the wheel turns and thus is more unstable. Does anyone else put rear first then front? (Considering I get the bike on the stands on my own).
