I would challenge most riders to be able to tell the difference between braided hoses and standard, 99% of any improvement is usually just down to the brakes being bled properly when fitting new lines.

But, they look prettier and last a long time. Personally wouldn't bother unless you have to or like the look of them.

Not wanting to start a debate over it, but I'm a bite more inclined to believe that braided lines make feel of braking different due to the sheer amount of people showering them with praise. But it's not the biggest payout ever....so it's worth a punt either way :)

I upgraded to HEL lines and they are A LOT better!

Are you gonna go for the h arrangement or the twin line set up?

I have the h setup, nice and tidy and fits VERY well, no messing trying to fit it at all

sure, they wont do any harm. I would bet that almost none of those people refilled and properly bled the existing hoses to directly compare.

Probably, TBH I'm new to all this as I've already said, but anything to improve on what I consider woeful braking power. Even my Yamaha YZF R125 had sharper brakes than the SV. I do realise it's a lot lighter/slower...but 70mph is 70mph and I could send myself over the handlebars pretty easily on the Yammy...the brakes were mentally good.

Think I paid about £135 for my brembo mc back in 2010. Seems average is around £150 on eBay recently

The span adjuster on the lever isnt wound right in is it? Long shot i know but i picked up my bike and the span adj was at its shortest setting and the braking was woeful. No way i could generate enough brake presure before hitting the bar. I put it all the way out and it was a night and day difference now that there is more stroke to pull the lever through.

You WILL feel the difference if your brake lines are more than 4 or 5 years old, maybe not if reasonable new.
