only run out of fuel once in the last few years,that was on my way back home from uttoxeter on my 1976 suzuki gt380(two stroke triple)had clocked about 90 miles on the trip,had my eyes open for petrol stations,and was following another bike when i went on reserve just as we entered a dual carrage way possibly may have even been part of a motorway,and the sign said next services 27miles,i cant get 27miles on reserve,15 may be possible,all i can say is im glad the other chap had bought a new bit of fuel pipe from the auto jumble and i had a drinks bottle with me
