If you check the official manual section 6.3 This includes the optional display Borders
11mm the gap between the edge and the figures.
You can have a 5mm border and 6mm space

And yes it's new because of the road fund licence disc being fazed out ANPR is what they are relying on to catch evaders.
Come October expect to have lots of interest in your plate people

They're gonna have to reconfigure an awful lot of cameras then...... I somehow suspect far more enforcement will be done via a computer programme.

Do you have access to the Special notices from vosa. Red?
We even had a manufacturer builtin about putting the fixings in the right places.

Yep the good old data base will crunch the numbers.And may catch a few out.
But expect an increase in number plate thefts

The camera that is supposed to check out the reg plates in the vosa van I had a scout round last year did mostly ping up "misread ".
