I don't think it's been done before, apart from clearance issues I'd be worried about loosing wind/weather protection.
Even though I have the db screen, the ss riding position is the way to get the best out of it...

You don't have a proper faring on the street.
Is that what you want to do with yours ie high bars but with the faring cut to accommodate the higher bars.
