Life is...

a newly acquired copy of Frank Marino - Juggernaut on vinyl (to replace my worn out copy) which has been US and RCM cleaned, a pint of beer and the rest of my vinyl replay system blasting in my ears.

now just to find a mint copy of Baker Gurvitz Army - Elysian Encounter at a decent price.

So --- what is the feeling on riding during the new lockdown ? Are we supposed to not travel outside our local area except for work or education ?! I you ride out alone and don't mix with anybody (apart from filling up with petrol when you wear gloves, full face helmet and visor ) is that going to be acceptable or make you liable to be fined ?!

I can argue myself to a standstill with that question.

The riding part is not in the spirit of "essential journeys" apart from work, education, shopping etc. However, riding is inherently dangerous and I'd hate to potentially tie up emergency services and a hospital bed because I thought my riding was more important than other people's safety.

I suppose I've answered my own thoughts; I won't ride for pleasure and since I grocery shop in the car I guess I won't be riding at all. :(

(personal opinion only)

Fish finger sandwiches, with lashings of tomato sauce. Being washed down by a mega mug of tea.

The guidance is 'essential' travel only, but on the other hand you are also allowed to travel locally for exercise.
I tend to use mine (if not commuting) once a month to do chore runs, whether it is picking up click and collect orders or doing a small shop. I may take the more interesting route there, but I wouldn't go out on a dedicated ride just for pleasure. Simply due to the inherent risk that comes with 2 wheels, and the weather this time of year it's probably best not to risk it.

Life is what you make it. Enjoy what makes you happy, make the most of the time you have and try to give yourself things to look forward to.
