hopr you all had a good time at Soho tonight. i so ****ed im goimg to rgret thid in thr morning.
|
No I did not have a good time. The f*cking Met Office got it totally wrong (well what's new there?) and by the time I reached Soho my boots were full and I was soaked through to the skin - it came down like stair rods, the back end of my SV stepped out three times before I finally reached Nero's.
And where were the so called "hardcore"? Nowhere to be seen apart from Rictus. We were also joined by Swisst, Sid Squid and friend. Was there any Italian exotica? No. Jelster and Nick were doubtless all snug and dry while watching some repeat on BBC with a glass of something stronger than coffee in their hand. . |
As soon as I got on the A1M I had a premonition that all was not well, just a light drizzle but I had that feeling, you know? The car in front was a Toyota. In the way? Naturally. But it's driver was dry, the heater was on, the stereo playing some catchy tune and I'm positive his hand was up his girlfriend's skirt. And there's me - cold, damp, visor getting hard to see through and wondering what the hell I'm playing at!
Now after a hot bath (leathers etc stuffed in the airing cupboard), a glass of vino and some blues playing in the background, life's getting okay again. Four wheels makes sense, two wheels doesn't. So why am I so obsessed with bikes? Okay rant over but expect better committment from the Massive leadership in future, ahem. Bleedin' wusses! ;) . |
Guy's, what can I say.... When I walked out of the Karting track I honestly thought that nobody would be in Soho. It was cats & dogs when I came out... I did speak to Mark on the phone and I had just got through the door.
Nick had some problems with his bike, and Richard lost an argument with a bus in Kilburn... One of those nights I guess... Will try 110% to be there next week, Nick's bike seems to be OK now, and Richard now has my SV as a "loaner" until he gets sorted... |
Hope Richard's okay, God another prang to add to the list (no offence to Richard, could happen to anyone). Are we cursed?
To be honest my only thoughts yesterday were that if you were out and about on that mean Italian machine of yours that the wet roads/massive torque didn't get the better of you. I should have brought my oversuit but the Met Office said I didn't need it. Should have known better and I suppose it was all good experience anyway... Catch you next Friday most likely. . |
