I've taken a couple of photos this morning so you can see what I mean...

The 'recieving hole' is actually moulded  into the plastic in what the workshop manual calls the 'meter panel' so I don't think that those screw clips are gonna do the job, please do correct me if I'm wrong though. The bottom four screws all use the 'top hat' well nuts but the two that are the problem just screw straight into the plastic (i say plastic but the way its worn i think cheese might be more appropriate!). Thanks for the offer to post me the bits though 21quest its definitely appreciated!

...oh and Gforce... no its not (well actually this morning it is, but generally no) it's a kind of death row humour I think

cheers Dan.

go and have a word with simon at granbys there he sort you out with two new ones

personally i would regraft a nut into the plastic with a soldering iron but i dont know how well equipped you are

if you can get over to mansfiled i can take a look at it and offer you a good fix

the choice is yours

my contact no is in "men in green tights" somwhere

thanks for the suggestions and offers of help its much appreciated! Its refreshing to see people so willing to help a stranger :notworthy:

I got some JB Auto weld today which looks like its going to be ideal for the job. Thursday is my day off so i'll hopefully be able to give it a go soon and i'll let you know how I got on! (Thanks for the offer Barty-b0y, if this doesn't work I'll be in touch)

Cheers, Dan.
