Don't bother Jordan, I rode around with the same Art can on for ages, never had a problem

Just a quick question. Same topic, slight tangent. I have a Scorpion can with a removable baffle, which has err.. fallen out. If I get pulled and get a rectification notice, can I just stick the baffle in? It is then road legal and E stamped.

Do tell your insurance though, or it will invalidate it.
I'm still waiting for the scorpion I ordered at the NEC, then I'll call the insurance & see what they reckon.

Yeah, erm, my insurance company wouldnt take to kindly to me telling them I've got a race exhaust. Since I've only got TPF&T, what would 'invalidated insurance' actualy mean anyway? Since they thirds party cover would be honoured should I be in an own fault accident anyway...

It could mean they'll sue you for their costs.
It all depends how annoyed they are about you not telling them.

Hmm. Perhaps I should leave it untill I renew my insurance with a less anal insurance company.

so if ive changed the can to a scorpion with removable baffle which also seems to have fallen out... I have to tell my insurance co?

never knew that... just assumed that its the same bike so no worries on that score.. so do I have to tell them EVERY time I change something? ie top box... what if I put the fairy lights on the bike for xmas????

BaggaZee 23-11-04 01:29 PM

Definitely. Especially if it improves performance.
On that note, anyone looked at the scorpion site? They claim an extra 6bhp on the SVS. Surely not!

Either way, I told mine about the undertray just to be damn sure.
