I've had a look and it's definitely a bit leaky around the link pipe joins. tim for some sealant. I've seen people recommend normal bathroom silicon sealant. Hmmm. A bit more research required I think.
Mind you, I'm not sure that I want to get rid of the pops & crackles! So JohnnyRod, the manufacturer's claim to have developed the can so that no mods on the bike are required is bull? I've often wondered... |
It's a fact of life that more flow means more air. The cans and pipes that aren't too much loudr than stock can be used without upjetting/Power Commandering; the bike will run lean, but not a lot, and may not go any quicker, but you can still ride it useably and safely. Injection systems with lambda sensors (excess oxygen in the exhaust gas) have some limited self-adjustment, some of them don't need tickling because of this. So not strictly bull, just means you can fit them on their own if you want.
Not sure what the best sealant is for exhausts, be surprised if bathroom silicone does it (but I don't claim to know). Stick your boot over the can end and you should be able to hear the gas leaking out. Look for sooty marks too where it's farting out. |
My downstairs neighbour came out today to complain. Apparently, since fitting my Rene, his flat shakes in the morning.

Oooh, ****!
Start wheeling it down the street before starting it? :? :?: |
My German neighbour (in Holland) complains with my standard can...
Actually asked me to walk the bike 1/2 mile before starting it. I politely said no a chance... Stu |
