yes the filter is fine suzuki use the same filter on 90% of their bikes the only bikes that are different are gs500's and older machines like gs 1000's and the like also small 125's

erm.. just went into the local bike bits place and asked for a replacement oil filter for an SV so I guess it's just the OE part.
Is there one that's any better than the rest, for next time then?
