Really? I just fitted one when I found my rear Diablo had suddenly developed little splits across the centre of the tyre in a couple of patches. I have read that both tyres use the same carcase.

agree with what the others said - i dont think there is any way a brake pad can fall out.

the tyre thing - that confuses me too. mabe you have rode through a patch of acid or something . . .

Could it be that the rear wheel is not being aligned correctly?

This would account for the rapid/uneven wear of the tyre and it would cause the disk not to sit straight in in the caliper, possibly binding the brake.
