It would make the statistics better without you doing that! Tarring and Feathering will begin at Noon |

If you get nicked at 90 you'll still only get 3 points and as you say you're more likely to be left alone or get off with a verbal. . |

but was going 90 the other day on the way home from a soho meet and got overtaken by a police car which didnt have its lights on... they didnt bother stopping me then so.... interestingly I think a lot of the traffic cops are bikers themselves, certainly the one who came to my rescue in -2 snow after that accident was cos we sat talking about the sv and bikes in general.... so I think unless youve been a complete idiot and driven dangerously or your bike is so blatantly illegal they tend to be a bit lenient.... but as everything depends on their mood sometimes... and your attitude goes someway as well I think... dont intend to find out the truth of that last statement but when I do Ill post  |
6 points on my licence- which come off next month - but come off cos I've had them for 5 years or summat daft.
All caught by cameras - and funny enough - IN WALES :x But apart from that - a good boy so far (fingers crossed) Did I tell you lot about the new static camera's they'e got along the M4 Junc 18 towards Bath? - Beware !! Put the thread back on line - No Never banned |
Banned in 2001 for 7 days having been pulled by an unmarked car at an average speed of 102 on the M40. Was driving the Jag at the time, highest speed whilst being monitored was 147 but they did not have the recording device on at that time.
Has had no effect on my licence as its the only (current) endorsement and it will be removed next year. |

1994 for 6 months on a totting up procedure.
First 3 points for the rear L plate having fallen off the pizza delivery bike i was on at the time. Unmarked astra and when i stopped and they stopped behind me i thought they were gonna mug me for the cash and the pizza! rather they had tbh  It was all really stupid carp as i'd driven without a licencse for about 3 yrs before that. The final 3 points were either a nonsense or karma catching up with me but either way they got me. Happily i was due to relocate and work in the cannaries the following month so it made very little diffrence as i cold drive on my old provisional license that i still had laying about. Joke of it all was that i tld the hire cars guys over there that the points are given for good driving in london and they were very impressed. Not big and not clever...but its history...and you asked. ;) |
