The scratches will polish out with some car wax. I have carbon fibre patches on the elbows and knees of my leathers and I constantly get scratches on em. Turtle wax works great on em.

Ah right - excellent - what do you race?

I started out with a Mardave Cobra, then went on to a Traxxas TCP, then onto a Schumacher CAT 2000 - EC and then a Losi XXX.

I've still got most of my stuff - KO EX-1 controller, couple of crappy knackered Corally modified motors, a Team Kinwald Dirtiniator , and a Reedy Sonic. (all of them 12 x 2) - KO 9002 servos, etc.. I should eBay it all!

Me and a mate once built a "drag racer" out of a plank of wood and two direct drive brushless motors - unfortunately it went about as fast as a Tamiya Super Hornet when we tested it :D
