Its not a new law. Actually it sounds like they were reviewing the legislation which I hadnt heard about but didnt change it. Perhaps we should have lobbied during the review process. Hopefully someone did.

Just wear sunglasses. Doesn't look as good, but it's:
a) As effective
b) Quicker to 'change'
c) Perfectly legal.

That said, I reckon tinted visors should be legal, so I'm off to sign the petiton :)

Add in
d) not entirely safe
e) not very comfortable
f) more expensive for reasonable quality
g) an extra thing to steam up

I agree with making black visors something you can only wear in daytime, and I would agree with telling people off if it's obviously a day when they're not a great idea, but on a bright day they are a very good thing and I find them necessary.

I think it comes down to common sense, I dont wear my iridium visor if its lashing with rain, I'll be out when I know its going to get dark halfway through my ride.

I always carry my clear one with me in any case, and I still reckon its just as quick to change the visor on my shoei as it would be to stop and take my perscription sunnies off and put my normal glasses back on.

Signed. Not that it's likely to make any difference.
