How often are you going to make it to the track though... Once a month to knockhill, or do you plan on going south? A track bike's a huge luxury if you're not using it a lot.
Personally I would buy a proper TLS, none of your R rubbish :) And probably have a bit of change left over to sort out the suspension and fix it if I binned it on trackdays. Or alternatively, get a set of track bodywork and a spare set of wheels for the SV, again that ought to leave you with some spare change if you do bin it... |
As I have said on another post somewhere.
Go out and get trolleyed, you know you want to  Seriously though, buy the TLR. |
Option 2
|
TLR, they're rare and exclusive these days. Blue and white with orange wheels. Those yellow ones should only be paired with fruit cocktail.....

northwind, does east fortune do trackdays as well? or are they a race only circuit? reason i was looking into a 400 was because there is a 400 class that i could enter into should i decide to start racing( if i could afford it that is)
track bike is looking the better option so far |
Never heard of East Fortune doing trackdays but it's maybe an option... Going racing, now that's a different story :) You go for it my son! (find out if Dean's cousin's still flogging his RS250!)

the RS250 is still up for grabs, its a Scottish Championship winning bike as well... Its now race tuned to run in the formula 400's...
Just been told Louie spends about £300 all in every race weekend... But thats not counting buying the bike, van, caravan and other stuff... At the moment he's doing almost two weekends a month with Knockhill and Eastfortune... |
get a tlr you know you want too
*may seriously affect your licence tho  |
