Well got it all sorted and the front end is now much better, seems to smooth out the road somewhat and makes the front far more positive, firmed up the front end handling. Now the backend feels pretty crap as a result. Well worth the effort.
I used progressive springs from JHS racing and Shell Advance fork oil SAE15, I weight about 14.5 stone and wouldn't want it any firmer. The springs came with spacers which were exactly the right length and I used an airgap of 100mm as recommended by JHS. As for being a public school boy, nope, went to a comprehensive or whatever they call a bog standard school. Now thinking about a better shock for the backend. :P |
You might find a Public School could help with a shock for your back end too.

I'd just like to say a big THANKYOU!!! :D
for all of the advise and help. I tried to sort them myself, got them undone, but couldn't do them up again. I ended up giving in :( and taking it to the dealer. £10 lighter and jobs a good-un. Well once again, thanks for the advice, I nearly managed it  Any ways the front end is now back on the bike, just the brakes left to do! |
