KILLSPILLS MESSAGE TO RALLY RIDERS



Dear Supporter,

Firstly I would like to welcome you to the KillSpills rally today and thank you for taking the time to come and join us on our ride through central London. I hope you will enjoy the day and the hospitality of the Ace Cafe London.

Today is designed to be a fun day for all of us, whilst delivering an important and serious road safety message to the Government. We want to show the general public that bikers are a caring and responsible bunch of people, who are committed to improving road safety.

The KillSpills Team (Red t-shirts) and Marshals (Yellow & White t-shirts) are here today to answer any questions you might have on the campaign, lobby the Government and Public and allow YOU an un-interrupted ride to Westminster.

ANNIVERSARY CARD
Please add your signature to the anniversary card the team will be handing into Number 10 today. It is available for signing at the BMF Stand.

METROPOLITAN POLICE BRIEFING TO RALLY RIDERS
- 12.00 hours please ensure you do not miss it, as it will contain important safety information.

HOUSEKEEPING
- FUEL - Please ensure you have sufficient fuel for your journey. The nearest petrol station to the Ace Cafe is directly opposite the Ace on the other side of the North Circular Road.
- TOILET facilities at the Ace are upstairs. At Westminster, the nearest toilets are at the Westminster Tube station, near Big Ben.
- REFRESHMENTS and food are available to purchase from the Ace, again at Westminster, the nearest shops are at Westminster Tube Station, near Big Ben
- LIDS (helmets) are to be worn whilst riding (including Quad bikes)
- STUNTS must be left at home, we request that you do not perform wheelies, burnouts, stoppies or such other stunts that you might be famous for. Please remember our road safety message.
- DARK VISORS, small plates and race cans will NOT be checked by the Police – if you behave!
- GOODIE BAGS If you don’t want our goodie bag, return it to the BMF stand, it can be re-used in the future.
- RUBBISH Please dispose of your rubbish in the bins provided at the Ace and outside Parliament

GENERAL
- THE QUEEN Please respect Her Majesty as we ride past Buck Palace. The Mall will be full of tourists; we want to show the caring and responsible side to motorcycling, no stunts or excessive noise. Thank you.
- KILLSPILLS FLAG & STICKER– Please attach the flag to the mirror of your bike with the cable tie and stick the erm sticker on your bike

13.00 Rally sets off for Westminster
14.00 Letter KillSpills report and anniversary card handed in at Number 10 plus photos
13.40 to 14.10 Rally arrives at Westminster
14.00 to 15.00 Marshals hand out leaflets to the Public
14.45 Team and BMF present findings to Minister at St Stephens Gate
15.15 Rally heads back to Ace Cafe London
16.00 to Late Free Post Rally Party at the Ace Cafe London
THE RALLY

The Police officers are here to close the junctions for us and Police the rally. They will be riding past you at high speed to get ahead of the rally.

Marshals wearing the high Viz vests will also be riding past you to help the Police at the junctions.

Marshals wearing the white t shirts are there for YOUR safety, to keep the rally to the carriageway designated by the Police. They will also act as a buffer between you and other traffic. You must ensure that YOU always ride to the LEFT HAND SIDE of these marshals. The Police bikes will keep to the right hand side of the Marshals and will be riding past at high speed. You must ensure you stay in line and not wander past the Marshals into the path of traffic travelling at higher speeds than the rally.

Having had a wipe out on diesel I think this is a really important thing to come and show support for. Media attention = action in this country so the more bikers out the better!
