Average to shocking.
|
I'm going to call it average... Though having seen some shocking riding today I suspect the average might be a bit lower than you'd hope. My actual riding- bike control etc- is probably above that standard now but my ability to read the road and plan corners would definately drag it back down.

Depends on who you talk to.
But handling wise i kept up with some TLR&S guys today quite easly. |
i would pass my test again i reckon but not much more than that i really need to do iam pronto

been riding for 9years but would still only say AVERAGE.

I am a new rider with 900 miles so far on my k5. I asked my friend who has been riding for 30 years and lots of experience that I sometimes feel a little apprehensive before I go out on the bike. I settle in after a mile or so but its always there. He said that it shows a healthy respect for the bike and a good thing to always have. My weak point is control on poor ground like car parks full of pot holes and bad surface or very tight spots.

Passed the IAM test in February and yesterday completed a 3 hour Rider Skills Check (harsher than the IAM test) as the first step towards becoming an IAM observer so yes I can ride at or better than IAM test standard.
Having said that I still have moments when I ride like a knob. |

who dosent  |
I put 'ready for IAM' coz I passed it last week \:D/ but in reality I've still got loads of areas I could improve on.
|
I ride fairly swifty, and I've not had an 'oh *^%$' moment for quite some time, so I'd say above average.
Don't know how I'd be rated by the IAM, but quite frankly after doing my bikesafe course, I'm not sure I care what advanced trainers think. |
