Though if anyone knows the guys who have a blue ZZR and a Black Fazer parked in the bike bay off Gower St on Bedford Avenue, if the bikes were damaged they can thank the dominos pizza scooter boy who was manoeuvering their parked bikes in an effort to fit a scooter in the non-existant space. Had time to observe the lengths the guy was going to to try fitting the scooter in as my bus was stuck in traffic. :evil:

Don't get me started on this one :x ! Thanks to scooter cramming I have 6 dents in my exhaust now, I also have a dent and plenty of scuffs in my lower fairing, scraped bar ends and mirrors, and scratches on the frame and the forks. luckily I didn't fix anything after my off, even though I have a lot of bits waiting to go on, as I was expecting this to some extent.

Also, how the hell do they expect you to get out if you can't bring the bike to the upright position thanks to fact that there's no space to your right for the bike or anywhere to put your feet?

There does seem to be an awful lot of badly ridden scooters around as well. I'm sick and tired of them too sitting in my blindspots trying to undertake/overtake me in the same lane because I've left a safe distance between myself and the vehicle in front, I feel so tempted to just stretch my leg as they go pass. I am seriously more worried now of crazy scooter riders than car drivers, w!"£ers the lot of them!

On the very few occasions that I parked in a bike bay, I had to be rescued nearly as many times because of scooters being squished in. This meant having to sit and wait for another 'real' biker to arrive and hope that they'd help me move the pesky things out of the way so I could right the SV and go home. And when you're in a smaill bay on a side street, that can be a long wait....

Just start "stretching your legs" meaningfully when you realise they're there.

Its not just harley rides that do this. theres some nob who rides a curvySV regularly does this in one of the bays I park in.

God I hate that! I just move them if I can now.

a traffic warden stood by my bike this morning and told me she would give me a ticket unless i moved the tyre from touching the white line! rules is rules, but that's taking it to extremes!

Yup - the wardens have got us all by the short and curlies. There are so many bikes now - esp. since 7/7 bombings - that more bike parking bays really are essential. My personal pet hate are all the mad suicidal cyclists who have now taken to the road and go about 1 mph around major roundabouts.

I have a mind to have a one-(wo)man demonstration at the Houses of Parliament - but that too is illegal now.

I think it's time to leave the country (or it will be when they start the congestion charge for bikes (contradiction in terms).
