Pointless but true., handfulls of throttle at idle can end up bending valves in the long run.

My Zx6 does this sometimes, but as they are set up to run at high revs and speed, bikes with Ram Air tend to run more lean at a standstill.

A general clean of plugs and stuff can generally make it run sweeter, so do as suggested above and things should be ok.

Iridium plugs made my mates R1 caused a lot of engine 'pinking', so he took them out.
