oops sorry Sv1000 Just a question on 9thou and 160+. I've been "told/seen" that to get to 160+ you have to be on or above 10thou. And redline cuts in at 167? Have you changed the rear sprocket
No this is standard SV 1000 N

172 MPH indicated at 10500 rpm probable actual speed somewhere near 160 ish :!: :!:

I've had the SV1 K3 at 167 and 10.5 :D I slowed back down to 140 as things were moving to fast. Now I stay around the 130/140 area. Do you have Yoshi cans

130+

For the record I like to live in the power band, 8,000 - Red line. But in the wet or when I'm taking it easy 4 - 7 its got usable power every where.

i find on my k3 pointy the powerband is no where near the red line, infact its flat and the powers gone 1k before red.

True the power band does not go all the way to the red line however it sounds the dogs! It all depends how I'm riding, messing around I'll stick it to the red, if I'm racing I'll be in the next gear before. And if I really want to have some fun I'll hit the rev limiter cause the misfire wakes up cage drivers
