Ouch, sorry to hear about this, but as has been said before, any off you can walk away from is a "good" one.

From your description of the damage sounds similar to mine, maybe we should start a new thread "Always fit your crash bungs" :)

Ouch, sorry to hear about this but glad you're OK

Good luck with the bike doesnt sound to bad so fingers crossed.

I had a few similar incidents yesterday in the car on the A30 from Yeovil to Sailsbury, looked like in places it hadnt been gritted at all.

Be careful out there folks

Glad your ok mate! The bike bless her is repairable. I took the bike out this morning for a little blast, there was still a lot of frost arround for ten in the morning.

Took two roundabouts that I take everyday, took a bit more speed off than I would in the wet and the backend slipped a little on the ice.

As I said your ok and thats the main thing fella!

sorry to hear about your off.. glad it is all fixable and your okay!

Sad to hear of your off...Could have been on me @rse meself. Had some nasty slides meself.

The difference is between luck and a repair bill.

I don't enjoy riding in these conditions one little bit. Riding like an old biffer. When a Ford Galaxy TDi is creaming you, it's time to go home. :(

Yeah, I should have taken the hint when it took a few minutes to scrape the ice off the bike and then when the front wqheel went sideways on two mini roundabouts in the half hour before the off  At least I'll be prepared for winter and be more clued up on what is/isn't good riding conditions. Doubt the repairs will come to much, or take long to fix. Ta for all the comments!
