my uncle dissagrees and recons it is coloured titanium pipes. Dont know what to think now, he rides a cb1300 with stainless system as his arnt like that, he siad mines coloured as its multi coloured, his only blues

Got a magnet? It'll stick to stainless but not ti. I'm pretty sure Micron's only ever made stainless headers for the SV- but looking at it, I wouldn't totally rule out that it is titanium. My WRP never blues like that, but elsewhere on the system it looks much the same as this one.

What about just ringing Micron(saves all the going round in circles) :) and ask if they did a Ti sytem fo the SV. AFAIK they did not .

it went more multi coloured the more i clean it, im all confused

Its a stainless Micron, they have never made a ti system,
Someone that can weld Ti would be good enough not to join the system with big welds, If it was ti it wouldn't be that ugly. If you clean stainless then get it hot (blow torch etc) it will go yellow first and then blacken a bit before it cherries, then with start to blue as it cools. Ti will go blue when it is heated and will go blue whilst the heat is on it. |
