The Rocket III is a fantastic looking machine. Not my sort of motorcycle, but it is everything it sets out to be.

There is no factory that ever produced motorcycles that does not have the occasional problem. But the degree of "old's wives" tales that go on at times is to me absurd.
Many of us have heard the odd report of someone buying "a bad un" but that does not compare with the thousands of happy owners with the same bike.
I personally think Triumph have a very good model range now and their name continues to rise in the consciousness of people looking for a well designed machine. (I think if they do well with the 675 in the Supersport races then they will really start to hit the Jap 600 market) Personally I would be happy to buy one right now and slap that race exhaust on it! Yummy!
I think many of you who see Nirvana in owning a 600SS should look long and hard at that bike.

If I were UK based I would be looking very closely at Triumph for my next bike. 8)

Havent all the 2006 model 675's for the UK Market sold out ? I am sure I read this somewhere recently.

675 does look gorgeous, however the site of the rocket 3 makes me want to

Fizz...Most makers will have models in their range that do not appeal to everyone, otherwise why have more than one model? The point I am making is that Triumph for me is a solid brand these days. The Rocket is not for me either but that does not stop it from being a cracking bike for those that seek what it does.

I think the Rocket III is a 2300 - perhaps a Fireblade is more of a tart's handbag thou?

There's a thread on SV rider showing a streetfighter Rocket 3.I'd like to see Triumph build a slimmed down version with a better riding position.Imagine a speed triple with a car engine--------
