Also, are they interchangeable... with a view of putting pointy tensioners in a curvy (rather than the other way around).

I've got a K3 tensioner in the front of mine, it fit right in no problems- though if memory serves, Mike1234 mentioned that doesn't always happen. The K6 and maybe K5 has yet another different tensioner I gather, now with an oil feed- could be wrong though.
