Sounds like it really should have been RWD - I bet it would have been awesome, especially with its relatively short wheelbase...

They are horrible cars. Parts are a nighmare to get hold of, the insurance is dangerous, and to be honest, they sound poo even with a 4" dragger 'zorst on.

Go buy yourself something a little more fun.

However, its your money :D

Tell me about it! Japanese import insurance is a joke! I had an R33 Nissan Skyline GTST - not the GTR and the insurance was MORE than if I had one of the few official UK GTRs... :x

Swapped it for a Mitsubishi Evo II and it was "no change sir" - still the same £1050 a year! That was at 28 with max NCB too!

very interesting i had a quote for the car from norwich union fully comp £383 i am paying £400 for my honda vtech coupe

as a matter of interest mister viney sir what would you recommend, i could be persuaded to change my mind, 1 of my other options was the alfa gtv v6

Have you considered a Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo?

Beautiful Italian styling, lovely sounding 5 pot engine, 220 bhp, roomy and practical. Can't go wrong :)

I've had one since 1998 and the only things I've had to have done, apart from regular servicing, are discs, pads and a new battery. No problems whatsoever.

Specialists do the infamous cambelt change for £400. e.g. http://www.powerfiat.co.uk

I tried an Alfa GTV, but basically I didn't fit inside. As for the rear seats and boot... forget it.

yeah very nice option rob, that was also on my list..like the styling very much and love the dash layout..only thing is i have had a couple of fiats already and fancied something different..but still a very very worthy mention....in fact im off to autotrader to look at them again

p.s this is ultimately a toy i have an every day car that i use for practical things so boot space and rear seats are really not important

cheers

What about a Nissan 200SX S14 - 200hp and RWD - drift-tastic! :D
