Absoutely right. If you want better braking, fit some emulators.

Or get a Hornet. *takes anotehr £100 for plugging Honda.

Ahem.

Okay I'm going now. :D

I guess thicker fork oil and progressive springs might be a cheap way to help solve the diving?

Yes the SV's brakes and front suspension are poo - but only in comparison to an SS600.

Try riding my old CD175 for a few days and after that the SV's front brakes and suspension feel like something off a MotoGP bike.

It is all relative.

Well sort of. My old 1996 Zephyr's brakes were a lot more effective than the SV's. Although the suspension on the Zephyr was made from playdough I'm sure.

Hehe, no I'm just amazed at how much of a better bike it is overall than my new SV was. Like you say though the SV is a much cheaper machine. I think the SV does look rather good, but I am loving the look of the Hornet too. Has a really aggresive look to it. Can't beat the SV on engine sound though, V twins always win! :D

But just the difference in braking is astounding. So much more bite to them, the SV's lacked any kind of feel and just felt spongy all the time. And on a brand new 06 plate SV, that isn't just dodgy pads!

Only the naked Horent looks agressive mind you, the faired one ooks like a chipmunk from the front. Fact.

Now that I agree with!

Hence why I bought a naked one.

Sorry, I just really love my new bike. Don't worry I'll be bored in 3 months.
