That's definetly not what i get on my pointy (thought it was standard sprockets). Can anyone confirm other than Scoobs on his IL4

Thats pretty much what i get on my K5, not sure about lower down the revs but in 6th gear I get about 90mph at 6000rpm and 104 at 7000 rpm. So near enough those figures.

That would be me :)

I think the link might be down mind? :( So you might want to re-host :)

Ah, so it was you, sorry I completely forgot. Yes that link no longer works, so I've hosted them here if anyone's interested:

Great little programmes, enabling you to play to your heart's content.

Thanks, so my sprockets must have been changed. Can you tell me your average mpg you get - I know it's all down to riding style but if most of my riding is commuting, I don't use 1st very much I wondered if 53mpg could be improved upon (without changing my style)

I'm not really the person to ask about MPG, i don't do commuting as such, even my journey to work is all country lanes that i can play on. I usually get about 110 miles till the light comes on (frequently i get alot less), whatever that works out at i don't know.

You want more (In that bloke from Oliver's voice)!!

I get 46mpg on average, that does me. If you want more, then buy a different bike. As for the ratios. The naked and faired do have different ratios. 1 tooth difference on the rear.

I got 90 miles on a track day  so it's probably not hurting my pocket too much anyway!

I've never done a track day but i've had days where the fuel lights come on at 90 when i've just been out for a spin. It just shows you've been having fun. I'm not really bothered about fuel consumption i use what i use i'm not gonna change the way i ride and be bored outta my skull just cos it might save me a few pennies.

I was mostly interested in what speed the limiter kicks in in each gear - that's the only speedo I'm interested in on the track :-D

But why? The SV is long past making maximum power by then.
