FST is basically isopropanol, though dunno where you'd buy this as a member of the public. Meths would do the same thing.

Nah, I like expensive plastic bottles with logos on :) Used isopropyl alcohol in the Orrible Yam but it doesn't seem quite as effective for the SV- not that any tests for this are really fair, carb icing's nto a reliable phenomenon, but considering how little of the stuff go through I just buy the FST Pro since it's easy to get.

White board cleaner and Tippex thinners are mainly isoprop aren't they? I've got a bottle of Pro-FST though personally and would not recommend anyone try alternative non-bike products!!!!
