....

And here is a 'wet one', I could have got away with wets in this session, but was still on my supercorsa's so having to bear that in mind!! :-

Very nice videos mate!

Great work on the SV there, I was chuckling to myself about the guy in the blue leathers on the second session vid, kept blasting past you on the straights then you did him in every corner! 8)

What sort of camera were you using? I'd like to get one of them - they look really good. It would be good if you could get some sort of 'muffler' for the sound too to cut out the wind noise.

Excellent riding anyways mate :D

Cheers,
Matt

Cheers, it's always fun duffing up bigger/faster/more expensive bikes :) That Blue R1 was a rocketship down the straights wasn’t it!!! Hopefully he would have been fuming as I kept passing … he won’t be telling his mates down the pub about that one!!

As for the camera, its an ATC-1000, these people do it for a good price:-

You really need an SD memory card too as the internal is only 32mb, They are only £15 for 1Gb one these days, 1Gb is ample.

And yeah it is a shame about the sound, I have actually covered the mic already (stuffed some foam in there and duck-taped over), the sound quality is the weakpoint. I think for the money they are pretty good overall mind.

  Oh...... so the SV IS a fast enough bike then!

That was superb mate, well done.

Please let us know about the camera too, I fancy one of those.

Ta :)

The SV does lack on speed, but as I keep trying to convince the lady folk … it’s not the size that’s important it is how I/you use it!!

I think it is more fun making the time the hard way!! 8) That couldn't have been very rewarding for Mr R1??

Excellent video! Looks to me like a fantastic track. A guy I know rode his SV there on the 28th and 29th of June. He found it an excellent track, especially the jump is amazing. I wish we somehting like that here on Assen or Zandvoort. :D

'The mountain' is fun, I was struggling to get much 'full air' on the SV as it didn't seem to have enough punch to kick the rear up and get her flying.

It didn't help that with the gearing set as I had, it was either too low RPM or too high RPM at that point (depending on gear). Also where it was damp/damp in places I couldn't enter the proceeding corners fully committed and carry the speed. Mibie next time :)

I am doing Silverstone GP next monday so will get some more footage from there hopefully ... anyone else intrested??? weazelz is going too!! :)

Fast group, eh?

didn't think it looked like the novice group I went in at Silverstone !

Just goes to show all the horsepower in the world doesn't make you quick into and round corners - and that's where your lap time is made and lost.

I still can't believe how close the 250cc motogp lap times are to the 1000cc. 2 strokes I know, but still - they're not far away.

There didn't seem to be any or well organised seeding in your group - ie you were all close together trying to overtake each other all the time , shirley it would've been safer to set you off in speed order?

The seeding was good when we did our trackday - towards the back of the novice group was just fine thanks  (first ever track day and it was wet and foggy)

Lap time improved by 40 seconds over the day-and that was over the short stowe circuit - yep that slow at the start
there were only 4 street bikes there ie not race reps with rrrrrrrr after it's name. So much fun overtaking ninjas, ducati 749s and rrrrrrrr's.....on a fazer 600.

Favourite line of the day was when a bloke on a kwak 636 ninja came over in the pits and asked if it was the fazer 1000
It did make me feel good........even though I know I'm pants
