The official importer is Motohaus but I bought mine from Motorcycle Road & Race (who buy them from Motohaus) because they offer free postage. Motohaus have a facility where you can search for your nearest dealer by postcode.

You need the Alu-Rack itself (£84.99 for a pointy) and the adapter plate for the top-box (£29.18 for the Givi adapter).

There are lots of pictures of Alu-Racks on SVs at Twisted Throttle.

I have oxford sports luggage and although it's ok I think for my daily commute I would like to get a top box?

Any suggestions?

Cheers

I plan to get a monokey base- easy to get on Ebay- and bolt it to a spare pillion seat. Nice and simple, that, though the position's not ideal obviously. Or I could attach it to my Sportsrack.

The trouble with the Givi rack- apart from being weak, and fairly badly designed- is that it looks like... Well... Here's Patrick McGoohan with a 50 litre Givi topcase attached.

And ignore everyone who says dont do it :P

Basically, you need to do what is best for you.

If your practical need is such you need a secure top box then thats whats best for you.

For me, practicality takes precedence over aesthetics with my bike. When I get a second bike, the rail will come off the SV. But until then, it stays. :D
